Hours of Operation for Hermon Transfer Station
Saturdays, 8:00am to 4:00pm
Closed for Holiday Week-ends

The Transfer Station will close on November 21, 2009 for the winter.  The Spring opening will be annouced at a later date.

Location
The Transfer Station is located on the New Boston Road, half way down from either direction. It will be on the Right coming from the Fuller Road and on the Left from Route 2.


Fees

White Goods - The disposal fee shall be $5.00 per trip or per yard

Scrap Metals - The disposal fee shall be $5.00 per trip or per yard

Brown Goods - The disposal fee shall be $5.00 per trip or per yard

Furniture Pile - The disposal fee shall be $5.00 per trip or per yard

Brush Pile - The disposal fee shall be $5.00 per trip or per yard; $75.00 per pulp load

Demolition Debris - The disposal fee will be as follows
* $10.00 per load for pickup trucks, vans, or automobiles with a trailer
* $25.00 per load for a vehicle larger than a pickup truck, but smaller
than a 4 yard dump truck
* $25.00 per yard for all vehicles 4 yards or larger

Propane Tanks - $10.00 for a 20 pound tank and $25.00 for all larger tanks

Freon Containing Goods - The fee shall be $15.00 per item

*** The Fee For Freon Shall Not Be Waived ***


Recyclables
Hermon will not have any recycling bins. Recycling can be done at Bangor Public Works, 530 Maine Avenue, Bangor.
