Animal Control

When you move into a new town, it is important to take care of your pets.

You can transfer the "registration" of your pets from your previous residence to Hermon. By doing this when you move, rather than when you are required to do so, your dog then becomes part of our database. Should anything happen, we will have information to refer to, ie: if your dog gets loose and is located by the ACO. Having current information available assists you being reunited with your pet as soon as possible.

If you should have any questions about your pets or animal control, please feel free to contact your Animal Control Officer:

James Cornforth
265 Fuller Road
Hermon ME 04401
Telephone:  848-5455
Cell:  745-5456
Emergency:
Penobscot Sheriff's Department 942-7911

The Animal Control Officer takes care of your domestic animal issues. Wild animals are the responsibility of the Warden Service.

You can contact the Warden Service via the Maine State Police Orono, 942-1196.
