In addition to existing procedures, prior to the June 10, 2008 Election Day, two additional means to notify citizens of Town Meetings, Special Town Meetings and Elections will be implemented. One method will be dial-out notification (telephone) and the other will be email. In order to receive either type notice or both types of notices, individuals must submit a request in writing to the Town Office that their name be added to the Notification Database. Sign-up forms are available at the Town Office. Dial-out notifications will be automated phone messages, in early evening hours, approximately 14 days prior to the event and will provide basic information such as date, place and time. Likewise email notifications will be sent approximately 14 days prior to the event and will provide date, place and time. If you are interested in dial-out notification your name and telephone number will be required. If you are interested in email notification your name and email address will be required. If you are interested in both types than name, phone number and email address will be required. Once a name is in the database, any request to have it removed must be in writing and submitted to the Town Clerk’s office.
