Youth Football
3rd & 4th Grade Flag Football
This program is offered to 3rd & 4th graders from Hermon, Carmel, and Levant communities. Our goal is to teach the fundamentals of football while promoting teamwork and character development. Practices and games take place at the Hermon Recreation fields located at Hermon Elementary School on Billings Road.
5th & 6th Grade Tackle Football
This program is offered to 5th & 6th graders from Hermon, Carmel, and Levant communities. Our goal for this age group is to teach the fundamental rules, skills, and techniques of tackle football while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and character development. The majority of practices take place behind Hermon Middle School on Billings Road, unless otherwise directed. Home games take place at the Hermon Recreation fields located at Hermon Elementary School on Billings Road. Teams participating in the 2010 season were: Brewer, Bucksport, Hampden, Hermon, MDI, and Old Town.
7th & 8th Grade Tackle Football
This program is offered to 7th & 8th graders from Hermon, Carmel, and Levant communities. This level participates in the Eastern Maine Middle School Football League. In 2010, the following communities participated in this league: Belfast, Brewer, Ellsworth, Hampden, Hermon, Old Town, Pittsfield, and Rockland. Our goal for this age group is to teach the fundamental rules, skills, and techniques of tackle football while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and character development. The majority of practices take place behind Hermon Middle School on Billings Road, unless otherwise directed. Home games take place at the Hermon Recreation fields located at Hermon Elementary School on Billings Road.
