Visiting the Clerk's Office
Typically the first person you see when you enter the Town Office will be a Deputy Clerk. The Deputy Clerks have many responsibilities some of which include acting as agents for Motor Vehicle, Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, Animal Welfare; maintaining Vital Records and performing various Election duties. As time goes by, more and more of what was traditionally done at only Town offices is being done electronically.

Certificate of Association & Certificate of Sole Proprietor
According to State Law, any business owner operating as the sole proprietor or as a member of an association must file either a Certificate of Association or a Certificate of Sole Proprietor with the Clerk's Office in the municipality where your business is located.
