Committees
On occasion the Town Council appoints Ad Hoc committees to study, review and report on specific topics. The only Standing Committee at this time is the Cemetery Committee. The Building Committee is a 'shared' Standing Committee reporting to the Town Council and/or the School Committee depending on the project being reviewed.
Ad Hoc committees typically consist of Council members and members of the community. Committee members are appointed by the Council. If you are interested in serving on a Committee please contact the Council Chair, the Town Manager or the Town Clerk.
Please feel free to check out our current committees and the work they are doing by contacting the Town Office at 207-848-1010. Existing standing committees include the Recreation Committee, Veteran's Committee, (coming) Charter Committee, and the (coming) Bicentennial Committee.
