Summer Program Counselors

The Hermon Recreation Department is now hiring for several positions for our Summer program including Head Counselors and Assistant Counselors.  If you possess the qualities stated above, love to work with kids or have any interest of working for Hermon Recreation, we highly encourage you to join our team!

Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                                                                                              Counselors are responsible for planning and supervising games, activities and crafts that are engaging to kids as well as being responsible for providing a safe and fun environment for all participants, grades K-6.

Pay ranges between $10.00-$12.00/hour depending on experience.

Requirements:                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Must have flexible hours between 6:00AM – 6:00PM Monday – Friday.                                                                                                                         Must complete all required training and employee handbook and pass a finger printing/background check

Football Coach

Hermon Recreation Department is seeking an entry level Head Middle School 7th-8th grade football coach. This person is responsible for the organization and administration of the program under the supervision of the sports programmer with support from the Recreation Director. This is a stipend position.

Minimum High School Diploma
1-3 years coaching/playing experience (Football coaching experience not required but preferred)
Ability to teach fundamental skills and team concepts
Interact with Student athletes of various ages and skill level in a positive and professional manner.
Have knowledge or ability to gain knowledge of current football rules and regulations

Coaching, monitoring attendance and mentoring student athletes
Maintain effective relationships with students, staff and community
Adhere to administrative policies and procedures

Must complete all required training and a coach’s code of conduct.
Pass a finger printing/background check
