Robotics Team

On Saturday, February 7th, the Hermon Middle School Robotics Team competed in the state meet at Spruce Mountain High School in Livermore, facing off against 25 other schools. The competition consisted of two categories: Robotics and Innovation. In the Robotics portion, which involves building and programming a LEGO Spike robot to complete point-based challenges, our team earned a solid 10th-place finish. We are especially proud to announce that the team took 2nd place in the Innovation category. For this year’s task—supporting the work of archaeologists—our students developed a brilliant solution: a hovercraft designed to glide over excavation sites to prevent site contamination and protect fragile artifacts.
